Juvenile Non-Fiction - This section contains books about real things - animals, history, math, art, the Earth, and space, and more! Easily browse this section by looking at the graphics on the shelf markers to find what you're looking for. Juvenile Biography - This section contains books about real-life people specifically written for adolescent readers. Reading biographies give insight into the real-life successes of remarkable people in our world and provide inspiration and motivation to our young readers.

Beginner Reader - This section contains books for those beginning to read, such as leveled and decoding books. Easily browse this section by interest or character using the graphic shelf markers.
Junior Chapter Books - This section is perfect for the beginner reader ready to read longer books but not quite ready for the Juvenile Fiction books. Junior Chapter books contain more words but add in pictures as well. |
Juvenile Fiction - This section contains novels and stories created from the imagination. Experienced readers can find an assortment of mysteries, science fiction, thriller, adventure, comedy, historical fiction, and more.
Junior Graphic Novels - This section is growing every day and very popular with kids of all ages! Graphic novels are novels in a comic-strip format, and they're great for developing visual literacy skills. |
Parenting/Teacher Section - This section covers an array of non-fiction topics for parents and teachers ranging from child development, tough topics, social-emotional health, neurodiversity, and more. While most of these are not children's books, they do offer a way for caregivers to browse too in the same area as their children. Additional titles for parents/teachers are available in our adult non-fiction section upstairs.

Computer Area - We have three computers available for kids to use. They're great for using all our online resources for children, which you can peruse here on our website, as well as at www.waynelibraries.org. The 23 inch monitors are awesome for playing online games, drawing, and watching videos! IMPORTANT: These computers are reserved for kids aged 14 and under and their accompanying parent/caregiver. A computer lab for those over 14 is located upstairs.
