WHAT TO EXPECT
We've all experienced a lot of changes in our lives and routines during the past few months, so it was important to us to make sure that the library would feel as 'normal' as possible when you returned. We did need to make a few changes to comply with state orders and mandates, though. Here's what will be different at our library during the Green Phase:
You'll need to wear a mask or face covering in order to enter the library. If you don’t have a mask/face covering, we’ll be happy to provide one for you. If you’re unable to or prefer not to wear a face covering, we encourage you to take advantage of our Curbside Pickup service. Please don’t jeopardize the health and safety of others or the library's funding by entering the building without a face mask/covering.
All patrons will ENTER through the parking lot side door and EXIT via the Main Avenue door. If you require handicap access to the building, please proceed up the ramp and ring the doorbell located to the right of the Main Avenue door and wait for a staff member to assist you.
Returns will NOT be accepted at the circulation desks. If you have items to return, please drop them in the open tub located to your left as you enter the building. We’re quarantining all returned materials to help keep our staff, patrons and community healthy.
We’ve made some changes to our library’s layout to make it easier for you to browse while practicing social distancing. You’ll see floor markings to direct you and signs to advise you throughout the building. Please be mindful of other patrons and do your best to stay six feet apart whenever possible.
You'll need to stop at the desk and provide your contact information before using our computers. In order to comply with social distancing requirements, only a limited number of computers will be available to the public. We now have tablets that patrons may check out for in-library use, too.
We're working hard to keep our staff, patrons and community safe! All high touch surface areas are being cleaned frequently throughout the day, computers and tablets will be sanitized between uses, and bathrooms will be deep cleaned every day after you leave.
