HAWLEY LIBRARY - REFERENCE MATERIALS
While we do have traditional reference materials such as dictionaries and thesauruses, it's our local history collection that shines most brightly. Here in Hawley, we're incredibly fortunate to have an amazing group of local history buffs within our community, some of whom are responsible for gathering materials, authoring, and seeing the books above through the publishing process. The majority of our reference books are donated, illustrative of the dedication these folks have to preserving the history of Hawley and surrounding areas and ensuring it's shared and passed down to future generations.
The subject matter of our collection includes the histories of the Dorflinger Glass Museum, Palmyra Township, Lackawaxen Township, Dingman Township, Honesdale, Little Norway (Rowland), Lake Wallenpaupack, the Delaware & Hudson Canal and more. And, if you come in to investigate, chances are you'll encounter a patron who will be delighted to share additional details about what you're reading.
LOAN DURATION
